On 28 June 2016 the President of OCU, Dr. Tetsuo Arakawa, invited students for a cooking party in the Global Village ‘Cooking with President’.
13 students, including 8 international students, joined in the event and made okonomiyaki according to a special recipe of the President.

English was the language of communication throughout the whole event, from shopping and cooking to the tasting. The participating students all came from different faculties and countries and had a great opportunity to chat with the President personally. Through these kind of events, President Arakawa tries to stimulate students to participate in international exchange and communication, while at the same time letting students enjoy typical Osaka culture. We will be having more events like this taking place in the future.
